CBAA Policy on Multiple Sports and Primary Seasons

CBAA's purpose is to provide opportunities for the youth athletes of Central Bucks to participate and develop at a competitive level in one or more sports in both travel and intramural programs. As the level of competition has increased in the travel programs for basketball, lacrosse and soccer, each sport has extended their competitive year throughout the calendar year.  Continued

Thank You!!! ... Buckingham Residents and Board of Supervisors

The entire CBAA membership sincerely thanks and commends the residents of Buckingham Township and the Board of Supervisors:

Maggie Rash, Jon Forest and Henry Rowan for their leadership and support.

The Board's expeditious approval of our request to set up and operate temporary lights at Holicong Park for early evening practices well into the fall has provided timely and much needed assistance to our program which supports several hundred youth athletes - many of them Buckingham residents.

Referendum passed & Congratulations to elected Township Supervisors Hilferty, Stork and Rash

The Plumstead Active Open Space Bond Referendum was passed last night by Township residents. CBAA thanks Plumstead voters' support for providing additional playing fields for local youth athletes. This is just the first step - please continue to urge the Plumstead Board of Supervisors and the Township's Parks and Recreation Committee members to keep this initiative moving so that playing fields are available as quickly as possible.

CBAA also wishes the best of luck and congratulations to Maggie Rash in Buckingham Township as well as Dan Hilferty and Wayne Stork in Plumstead Township on their victories. Finally, CBAA acknowledges and appreciates the time and effort put forth by all candidates in their election bids - we praise their willingness to serve our communities.

THANK YOU to People and Companies that Helped w/ our Lights

Buckingham United Travel Soccer would like to thank all who were involved in making our quest for lighted practice space a reality this season. As our fall season draws to a close it is without a doubt proven to be another successful season for our Buckingham Travel Soccer Players. We are confident allowing outdoor practice to continue through the fall season contributes to the teams success and allows the children interested in competing at the travel soccer level the opportunity to continue training through the entire fall season.

Lighting Plan Approved for Herbst Sports Complex January 19th

The presentation of the lighting plan was a directive from the Judge from the last court appearance.  Both parties were asked to work out a solution in good faith

3 Basketball Courts and 4 front fields will be lit.  CBAA and the township are working on an agreed time schedule for the lights.  The agreement from 2004 has been reinstated.  If Plumstead provides lighted fields in the future for CBAA to use, the lights will be discontinued at Herbst.

Lighting at Herbst Sports Complex
Herbst Sports Complex The History:
  • Plumstead Twp agreed to provide lighted sports at the Hirst Tract  (Route 611 near Fred Beans Ford) by July 2008 or CBAA would be allowed to install lights at the Herbst Complex.  To date - the Plumstead Twp Supervisors have not met their obligation and have forestalled CBAA's efforts.
  • Plumstead Twp issued a zoning violation to CBAA despite the care and prudence in operating the temporary lights at Herbst Fields.
