Thank You Buckingham Residents and Board of Supervisors

The entire CBAA membership sincerely thanks and commends the residents of Buckingham Township and the Board of Supervisors:  Maggie Rash, Jon Forest and Henry Rowan for their leadership and support.

The Board's expeditious approval of our request to set up and operate temporary lights at Holicong Park for early evening practices well into the fall has provided timely and much needed assistance to our program which supports several hundred youth athletes - many of them Buckingham residents.

CBAA Policy on Multiple Sports and Primary Seasons

CBAA's purpose is to provide opportunities for the youth athletes of Central Bucks to participate and

develop at a competitive level in one or more sports in both travel and intramural programs. As the

level of competition has increased in the travel programs for basketball, lacrosse and soccer, each sport

has extended their competitive year throughout the calendar year.

Cooperation and respect on the part of all sports programs and their intramural programs, their officers

and coaches is a goal of CBAA.

Plumstead Active Open Space Bond Referendum
The Plumstead Active Open Space Bond Referendum was passed this week by Township residents.  CBAA thanks Plumstead voters' support for providing additional playing fields for local youth athletes.  This is just the first step - please continue to urge the Plumstead Board of Supervisors and the Township's Parks and Recreation Committee members to keep this initiative moving so that playing fields are available as quickly as possible.

CBAA also wishes the best of luck and congratulations to Maggie Rash in Buckingham Township as well as Dan Hilferty  and Wayne Stork in Plumstead Township on their victories.  Finally, CBAA acknowledges and appreciates the time and effort put forth by all candidates in their election bids - we praise their willingness to serve our communities
.

Reminder NO PETS Policy

Please remember that Herbst Sports Complex has a NO PET Policy in place.  This is for the safety and protection of all.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Lighting Plan Approved for Herbst Sports Complex January 19th

The presentation of the lighting plan was a directive from the Judge from the last court appearance.  Both parties were asked to work out a solution in good faith. 3 Basketball Courts and 4 front fields will be lit.

CBAA and the township are working on an agreed time schedule for the lights.  The agreement from 2004 has been reinstated.  If Plumstead provides lighted fields in the future for CBAA to use, the lights will be discontinued at Herbst.
