CBAA, which went undefeated in the regular season, scored all three second-half goals to break open a 3-3 tie. CBAA had rallied from a 6-1 first-half deficit and three-goal fourth-period deficit the day before to topple Moorestown, 9-7, in the semifinals.
The team consisted of (see picture):
Top Row (L-R): Head Coach Brian Vetter, Mike Eveland, AJ Ventresca, Sam Lindgren, Mitch Narkoff, Tyler Hopkins, Jeffrey Circuit, Mac Schwartz, Ryan Cimino, Zach Keller, Jake Henze, Matt Krumenacker, Tim Markiewicz, Coach Dan Brown.
Middle Row (L-R): Coach Paul McGovern, Coach Steve Henze, Matt Vetter, Corey Katzmann , Sean McGovern, Matt Brown, Coach Brad Ament
Front Row (L-R): Jack Auteri, Garrett Trucksess, Grant Ament
"After yesterday's comeback against Moorestown, the boys all believed they could do anything," said coach Vetter. "All season long the boys have demonstrated grit and heart, and play a selfless game that puts the team ahead of any statistics.
"After we talked to them that this was the last time they would ever play together as one team they took over the game. They dominated loose balls, and controlled the flow of play and each boy knew their role. Each boy left their heart on Sparks Field today! The coaching staff couldn't be more proud of these boys.
"These boys wanted to put Doylestown Lacrosse on the map, and they made their statement today. Radnor is an excellent team with many talented and athletic players, they are well coached and CBAA had to deliver its best effort for four quarters to maintain control of the game. Congratulations to both teams who made it to the championship."
