CBAA SOCCER (Intramural) Member Registration
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR FALL 2013 SOCCER SEASON
Our Registration for the Fall 2013 Soccer Season is available now through June 8th! If you have registered with us before, you may enter your email address and retrieve your password. Your stored information will then appear in the registration form. If your email address has changed, or if you have difficulty retrieving your password, you may register as a new registrant. PLEASE REMEMBER TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD BASED ON THE GRADE HE/SHE WILL BE ENTERING IN FALL 2013. ALSO, MANY CHILDREN CHANGE SCHOOLS IN THE FALL. PLEASE REMEMBER TO UPDATE YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL - ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE MOVING ONTO MIDDLE SCHOOL OR HIGH SCHOOL.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILD!
Registration Fee:
$120 for registrants in our Under-5 (pre-Kindergarten) through Under-18 leagues.
There is a $360 maximum fee per family (no charge beyond 3 children). If you are registering more than one player in your family, please be sure to register them all at the same time and be sure to click the "Register another family member" link when prompted. If you do not do this, then you may be charged more than $360 per family.
NEW this year! We have a new partnership with adidias and Angelos Soccer Corner! Your child will be provided with two jerseys; when you register, you will be asked to indicate the jersey size for your child. Your registration fee will also include a team and individual photo of your child. Team photo day will be scheduled in September; your coach will have more information on the specific date and time when the season begins.
Payment Options:
We will only accept debit/credit card payments online to pay your registration fee.
Refund Policy:
NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE ONCE UNIFORMS HAVE BEEN ORDERED. We expect to place the uniform order in mid July. After that time, we cannot guarantee you a refund if you decide to cancel your registration for any reason.
Eligibility:
-
Minimum age: Children in our Under-5 program should be considered Pre-Kindergarten (minimum age 4 - expected to start Kindergarten in the Fall 2014).
-
Maximum age: Our Under-18 league accepts players in 12th grade or 19 years of age.
League Placement:
We use the U.S. Youth Soccer league definitions, which admittedly may be confusing. For example, if a player is 6 and will be attending Kindergarten IN THE FALL, then you should register that player for our "Under-6 / Kindergarten" league (where Under-6 should be interpreted as "6-and-under").
What to Expect:
We expect the Fall 2013 season will start around the week of August 19 (clinics and practice) with games beginning the weekend of September 7 and continuing until early November (subject to field availability and weather conditions).
In the Fall, CBAA organizes leagues from Under-5 to Under-18. The structure of leagues is as follows:
-
U18 includes 10th through 12th graders and teams are gender specific.
-
U15 includes 7th through 9th graders and teams are gender specific.
-
U12 includes 5th and 6th graders and teams are gender specific.
-
U10 includes 3rd and 4th graders and teams are gender specific.
-
U8 includes 2nd graders only and teams are gender specific.
-
U7 includes 1st graders only and teams are gender specific.
-
U6 includes Kindergarteners only and teams are co-ed.
-
U5 includes Pre-Kindergarteners only (children who would start Kindergarten in 2014) and teams are co-ed.
U5 League: Our Director of Coaching, Neil Smart, will lead our U5 league following the Micro Soccer format. There are no formal coaches in this program. During the opening part of each session, parents actively assist in helping their child learn skills. We then conclude each session with informal games randomly dividing players into teams each week. A parent or adult must attend each session "dressed to play" and be willing to help their child with the skills. There are no separate practice nights for the Under-5 league. The Under-5 sessions are held on Saturdays.
U6 League: Our Director of Coaching, Neil Smart will also lead the U6 league in the Micro-Soccer format in which players participate in fun warm-up and skills sessions as well as age appropriate small sided (3 versus 3) games. CBAA club coaches will assist during the skills session, then help to oversee the games. The skills are about 25 minutes in length with 5 minutes to transition to games, then 30 minutes of Micro Soccer games. There are no practices for the Under-6 league. The Under-6 sessions are held on Saturdays.
Under-7 and older leagues: Practices are held one night a week and are overseen by volunteer CBAA coaches and games are typically held on Saturdays, with some Sunday games as well. For children in the U12 and older leagues, the schedule may include games against other local soccer clubs on our fields or in other local municipalities.
Special Requests: Please note there is a field where you may make special requests (e.g. for carpooling). However, because of the size of the league and the complexity involved in forming teams, it is not possible to honor all special requests. We will do our best -- thank you for your understanding.
Practice Night:
When you register, you will be asked which night your child is unable to practice. Please note that we will make every effort to place your child on one of your preferred practice nights, but this cannot be guaranteed. The primary criteria for determining practice nights (after field availability) is what works for the volunteer team coach since he/she needs to be present at practices. If, once rosters are formed, you find that your team coach has a practice night that is inconvenient, inform your coach first. Every effort will be made to try to switch your child to another team that has a more convenient practice night. However, there is no guarantee we can do this. Often it will depend upon getting another parent to switch their child's team with your child's, particularly if rosters are full. Your understanding on this issue is very much appreciated.
Of course, players in our Under-5 and Under-6 program do not have weeknight practices, so please just indicate "No preference" and "No conflicts" for these questions.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED CBAA is a volunteer organization. We rely on parents like you to help us continue to offer quality sports program for children in Central Bucks. Please consider volunteering your time in some way. You will see a variety of volunteer opportunities, from Coaching to Concessions to helping with the Midway Carnival. We have many opportunities for people of various skill levels. However, we understand volunteering isn't an option for everyone. If you are absolutely unable to volunteer, CBAA has implemented a volunteer buy-out option of $25.00. This money goes to pay for services where we do not have enough volunteers. Please note that if you do not select the “Volunteer buy-out option” and you have not fulfilled your volunteer obligation by the conclusion of the Fall season (except for those who volunteer for the Midway Carnival), you will be asked to pay the volunteer buy-out fee to be considered a member in good standing. |
