| CBAA March Madness |
To All Players, Coaches and Parents at CBAA Basketball: First of all I would like to thank each and everyone of you for the excitement and dedication that you have shown and demonstrated throughout the season. Thank you as well for putting up with the changes in game schedule and practices that have been impacted by the severe weather that we've had this year. As I tell my kids at home, weather and traffic are out of my hands. If you are coach thank you for coaching and working with the kids. If you kept score or managed the clock thank you as well. To my great group of CBAA Board Members, Gracias. I know how hard you work at making this fun for the boys and girls of Central Bucks. This year we have grown to an organization that has over 1400 children ranging in grades one through twelve playing intramural basketball. That is 120 teams plus 21 travel teams. I want to take this time to thank the CBSD School Board, the staff at Gayman, Doyle, Cold Spring, Buckingham, Groveland, Bridge Valley, Tohickon, Holicong and East for the use of their facilities. I also want to thank our friends at DAA for helping us out with gym time and in some cases laying out their own funds to fix and correct situations with scoreboards at schools that we both share. As the season winds down over the next couple of weeks we will start our own version of March Madness. The CBAA Playoffs. Every division, with the exception of the Boys and Girls 1s/2nd Grade Leagues and the Girls 3rd/4th will be participating. We call its CBAA March Madness but we would like to de-emphasize the Madness and maybe call it March Fun. The games are usually close, the kids have something to play for but folks it is only a basketball game and we need to take it for what it is, a game. I ask that all parents, players and coaches come out, cheer and support our volunteer refs, our PIAA refs, Score and Clock Managers. CBAA has and will enforce a zero tolerance policy towards any coach, player or fan that does not demonstrate good sportsmanship and behavior at any of our games. Please help me and our board members by cheering, yelling and screaming for the players and not at them or at our officials. Thank you. I am sure to see you all at a gym soon. E. Manny Garcia, President, CBAA Basketball

| CBAA Coaches vs. Cancer Thank You |
CBAA would like to thank all the families, teachers, businesses and volunteers that supported our third annual Coaches vs. Cancer event. The turnout was fantastic and everyone had a lot of fun supporting a great cause. A special thanks to Johnson & Johnson for their generous donation in helping us surpass our fund raising goal and reaching close to $33,000. We also greatly appreciate the teachers giving up their Sunday (and possibly subjecting themselves to some class room jokes) to support this event. |
