Titans beat the Bucks 12-4

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 12, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 4
The Titans beat the Bucks 12-4 in a Suburban One Continental Conference boys lacrosse game played at Central Bucks South on Friday afternoon. Smothering defense led by Timmy Ross, Kevin Witchey, Conner Bechtel and Tim McCrudden held CB West scoreless for the first two periods, while the Titans received goals from Ty Strayline and AJ Caputo to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The Titans broke the game open in the third, scoring seven goals in the period to the Bucks two tallies to take a commanding 9-2 lead over their crosstown rivals. CB South added three more scores in the fourth, including two by Brendan McGrath, who was the Titans high scorer with three goals and two assists. The Bucks added two unassisted fourth quarter goals, but Kevin Uzelac and Bobby DiBrino came in to help shore up the Titans defense while Anthony Paone closed out the scoring for the Titans on a sweet assist by Jimmy Gallagher.
In addition to McGrath, the Titans received a hat trick from Strayline. Willie Pendleton and AJ Caputo each scored two goals. Tom DiBrino had a team high three assists while Jake Henze had a pair. McCrudden led the defense with seven ground balls while Paone had six ground balls.
Ryan Kelly turned away 12 of 14 shots he faced.
For the Bucks, Jimmy Seykot led the way with two goals and one assist. Jimmy Steigerwald and Reilly Kratzke both added a goal. Mike Harvan had 12 saves in goal.
With the win, CB South improves to 7-3 in the conference and 11-4 overall, while the Bucks drop to 5-5 SOL and 7-8 overall.
