The Ukrainian Nationals Bulldogs are now ranked #11 in Pennsylvania East territory according to gotsoccer.com.  Keep up the great work, guys!

Congratulations, Bulldogs, on another fine showing in a highly ranked college showcase, the Mid Atlantic Cup. The Mid Atlantic Cup was hosted by PA Classics and was attended by over 40 men's college coaches. The level of competition was very high and provided for a great weekend of soccer.

Despite adverse heat and other conditions, the Bulldogs finished first in their bracket. They defeated last year's Intercounty Elite Champion, Deep Run, in the Semi Finals and went on to the championship against North Union United. The final game was hard fought and after 70 minutes of play the score was tied at 1-1. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs came up short in the shootout, 4-2. The final score was 5-3 in favor of UNN.

The Ukrainians continue to progress and improve.  Great job, boys!

On June 21 & 22, the Ukrainian Nationals Bulldogs participated in the 2008 Rider Cup Challenge against some excellent, competitive teams from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Bulldogs made it to the Semi-finals againt FC Bucks. This game was so close that it had to be determined by a shoot out. The Bulldogs prevailed after 10 rounds of shooting with goals scored by:

Then it was off to the Finals against FC Revolution. Although the score does not reflect it, the Bulldogs held tough in the first half and made the Revolution adapt their game strategy for the second half. But after playing 3 games that day, the exhaustion began to set in to their aching bodies.

Coming off the field and collecting their metals, all of the boys held their heads up high and were already looking forward to the next round of soccer battles to be fought at the upcoming  Mid Atlantic Cup in July. They are ready for the challenge!
