Warriors FAQ

 Warriors FAQ
Q. What equipment do I need to play Warriors Lacrosse?
A. Helmet, mouth piece, shoulder/chest protector, elbow pads, gloves, protective cup, lacrosse stick, (sneakers and cleats are recommended).  These items may be purchased at many local sporting goods stores. We recommend a specialty lacrosse store to be sure you get proper fit. Some local stores are Universal Lacrosse in Doylestown, Lacrosse Unlimited in Ardmore, Lax Zone in Ambler.)
US Lacrosse recommends that players do not use someone else's old helmet because you cannot be sure it hasn't been damaged. New guidlines on consussions recommend that you get your helmet recertified every year, especially after 5th grade. Please email us with any questions regarding having your helmet recertified. Click here for helmet safety/fit info from US Lacrosse: Helmet Buying/Fitting.

Q. What grade levels are allowed to paticipate in Warriors Lacrosse?

A. Warriors Lacrosse is a member of SEPYLA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse   Association)

Our levels are as follows:
K-Grade 2, Instructional Clinic (Girls and Boys)

3rd-4th Grades, Instructional and competitive (Boys)

5th-6th Grades, Level B (Boys)

7th-8th Grades, Level A (Boys)

Unfortunatley, at this time, we do not have a girls program in place beyond our K-2 clinic. If you have a girl who would like to play lacrosse, send us an email. We will let you know more about local area teams for girls.

Q. What does A1 or B2 mean?

A. The letter refers to the player's grade level, and the number denotes the skill level.

A1 = Most competitive 7th/8th grade team(s). Full commitment/Primary spring sport.

A2 = Very competitive 7th/8th grade team(s). Full commitment/Primary spring sport.

A3 = Competitive 7th/8th grade team(s). New to lacrosse and/or unable to make full commitment.

B1 = Most competitive 5th/6th grade team(s). Full commitment/Primary spring sport.

B2 = Very competitive 5th/6th grade team(s). We strongly encourage a full commitment, but one is not yet required at this level.

B3 = Competitive 5th/6th grade team(s). New to lacrosse and/or unable to make full commitment.
