Safety
Warrior First Aid Requirements
The Warrior Organization requires that a certified First Aid person be assigned, and present, at each home game.
Warrior Severe Weather Policy
Coaches are absolutely forbidden from holding practices during severe weather, particularly "lightning."
When lightning is spotted, Coaches are instructed to remove their children immediately from the playing field and seek the nearest available shelter (lockers or Snack Stand, NOT under the trees).
It should be noted that practices may be held during rain and snow conditions, as these can be considered "Game type" conditions. Practices during rain and snow is left to the discretion of the Coaches with the permission of the Executive Board, unless prohibited by Warrington Township.
Fundamentals
The Warrior Coaches always emphasize safe, basic blocking and tackling techniques. As such we have attempted in the past to hold coaching clinics with area middle school and high school coaches on safe blocking and tackling techniques.
Since 2001 it is a MANDATORY requirement that Coaches attend coaching sessions / clinics specific to several areas. One of those sessions will be dedicated to proper blocking and tackling techniques. At the entry levels, 55lbs., more time will be spent with children in instruction on these basic techniques. In any event, children will receive proper instruction from the Coaches on proper, and safe, ways to block and tackle.
Equipment - Helmet Recertification
Although we are only required to recertify helmets every other year, Warriors Football policy is to conduct such recertification each and every year.
This typically costs the Organization approximately $30 per helmet, but safety is well worth the cost!

Equipment - Pads & Uniforms
The Warriors Football Organization attempts to replace worn out equipment each and every year. In addition, the Organization supplies each player with a Game Jersey, game pants, a recertified helmet, shoulder pads, hip/knee/thigh and tail pads.
Participating members will need to supply PRACTICE JERSEYS & PANTS, properly fitting girdle, cup and supporter, and mouthpiece.
