FBI CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK

** ONLY NECESSARY IF YOU HAVE NOT LIVED IN PENNSYLVANIA FOR 10 YEARS  **

The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is utilizing Cogent Systems to process fingerprint-based FBI criminal background checks. The fingerprint based background check is a multiple step process.

Applicants may register online at: www.pa.cogentid.com/index_pde.htm

Fee: $25.75 (must be paid for by the volunteer).

Mandatory Reporting for Suspected Child Abuse -

Mandatory for All Coaches!

This is a new law in Pennsylvania, if someone suspects that a child is being abused in any way, that person must call and report it.

Every coach must take this free online course for recognizing and reporting suspected child abuse.

When finished, print out your certificate, they will be collected before the season.

Concussion Training - Mandatory for All Coaches

HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training  (~30 minute video)

HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports is a free, online course available to coaches, parents, and others helping to keep athletes safe from concussion. It features interviews with leading experts, dynamic graphics and interactive exercises, and compelling storytelling to help you recognize a concussion and know how to respond if you think that your athlete might have a concussion.

Once you complete the training and quiz, print out the certificate and give it to the head coach:
