*Cheerleaders arrive for warm up and rehearsal.
*Intramural coaches can pick up the team equipment from the equipment manager, Lyndsay Levengood.

9:30am - Players arrive and meet their coaches (we are hoping to have intramural uniforms and backup travel uniforms in before the event, but we may need to hand out some shirts on the day of the event).
Parents/family/friends can begin setting up their chairs in the designated audience area.

Families can eat, peruse the cleat swap table and giveaway table, cheer on the intramural players in their small games, etc.
  • Snack stand opens (volunteers will help to run the food stand, popcorn and cotton candy machines, etc.)

12:00pm - Event wrap up
(Volunteers will help to break down stations and tables; clean up food stand, etc.)

Please follow the link below to RSVP for the event.  This will tremendously help us to prepare for food, prizes, audience area spacing, etc.

Spring Season Update

Dear Travel Parents,

After thoughtful consideration, the Topton Soccer Club Board has made the decision to cancel our Spring 2020 soccer season.

The Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association issued a statement on March 30th extending the suspension of all soccer programs through April 30th.  This suspension follows Governor Wolf's issuance of a stay-at-home order for many counties throughout Pennsylvania, including Berks County.  Despite the new April 30th deadline, we feel that it is in the best interest of our players and their families to cancel the season at this time.  The uncertainty of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and the unclear future of our spring and summer months, we feel it is best to cancel now.

We will be issuing a full refund to all players.  Despite substantial League costs for insurance, team registration, player fees and additional uniform costs, the Board feels it is important to refund all monies to families during this difficult financial time.  Refunds will be issued via check from our Treasurer, and will be mailed to the address associated with your player's registration.

We have appreciated the support of our soccer community for many years.  We are heart-broken that we will not have a soccer season for our young players.  Please understand that this decision was not made in haste, and that every consideration was discussed prior to cancellation.

We hope that your families stay healthy and safe during this challenging time.

TSC Board

(We are working on registration for Fall 2020.  Additional information will be forth-coming.)

U6 / U8 Spring Update

Hello soccer families!

Spring season is almost here and I wanted to reach out to introduce myself, for those of you who don't know me.
I am Alyssa Albright, on the board for the Topton Soccer Club!  I was previously the Equipment Director, but was recently voted into the Registrar position for this upcoming season.

If you have any questions, or need anything, I can be reached at: 610.334.0429 (call or text) or email: alyssarader1@gmail.com

Please follow the link below to join the BAND app.  You can download the app on your phone and connect to the U6 BAND via the link.  This is where coaches will communicate important information - schedule changes, weather-related information, COVID-19 sign in requirements, etc.

Link:

COVID-19 information:
Per the RBJSL (Reading Berks Junior Soccer League) requirements for the spring season, all players/coaches will be required to have their temps scanned/recorded and parents will need to sign their player in each practice/game.  The sign-in is parents affirming that their player is not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms and has not been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive within 14 days.  We will utilize an electronic 'attendance' tracker on BAND.  Each session, you will be required to sign your soccer player in on the BAND app, acknowledging that they are clear to play soccer that day.  Your coach will take your player's temperature upon arrival and will record it.
Right now, the RBJSL requirement is that all players and coaches will be masked throughout the duration of the soccer practice/game.  Parents, we strongly encourage you to wear a mask around other players, coaches and families when you cannot maintain 6ft social distancing.  We appreciate your support of these guidelines.

Practice/Game days (these will be loaded in BAND app under 'Events'):

U6 - (SUNDAYS 3:15pm-4:45pm @ Longswamp Park - Lower field - please do not park in the church parking lot)
March 28th - 1st Practice (no game)
April 4th - Easter- no practice or games
April 11th - practice/games
April 18th - practice/games
April 25th - practice/games
May 2nd - practice/games
May 9th - Final Games & team awards

Since there are (3) teams in the U6 division, we will play a 'Round Robin' game schedule, i.e. A plays B, B plays C, then A plays C, each week.

3:15-3:30 - arrival/temp check/warm ups
3:30-4:00 - U6 practices with teams
4:00-4:10 - A vs B, (C - drill on sideline)
4:10-4:15 - Water Break
4:15-4:25 - B vs C, (A - drill on sideline)
4:25-4:30 - Water Break
4:30-4:40 - A vs C, (B - drill on sideline)
